Christopher Atkinson, AICP

Christopher is a certified planner with 13 years of professional practice experience. Recognized by numerous awards, he has assisted municipalities across the country to develop plans and urban design guidelines that revitalize downtowns, commercial corridors, and urban waterfronts, and integrate open space and green infrastructure systems into the urban context. Christopher is engaged in Atlanta's Project Greenspace, a city-wide park, open space, and green infrastructure plan; the Floyd's Fork Greenway, a master plan for a 27-mile stream corridor located in the Louisville, KY metropolitan area; and several urban revitalization projects for the city of Portsmouth, VA.
