Principal Antonio Fiol-Silva, FAIA has been selected by Urban Land Institute’s Rose Center for Public Leadership in Land Use to serve as one of eight Faculty members for the 2010-2011 class of Daniel Rose Fellows.

The Rose Center program supports the proliferation of responsible land use policies by providing Fellowships to public officials with strong track records of sustainable land use leadership. The Center selects four major American cities as recipients for its annual Fellowship program. Antonio will serve as the Faculty member for the City of Houston.

The Rose Center stated that Antonio's selection is due to his "impressive experience and accomplishments in the realm of urban design." He will provide leadership training and professional development to the mayor and the other Fellows with land use decision-making power in Houston. He will also give technical assistance for a specific land use challenge in the city. Ultimately, Antonio will address topics such as urban demographics, infrastructure, and sustainability as a means to develop creative approaches to the current economic climate facing America's cities.

Antonio was also recently appointed co-chair of the ULI Philadelphia District Council's Regional/Suburban Issues Forum. In this capacity, he will help develop the council’s annual February/March major forum and a smaller educational event centered on regional and suburban issues.
