Urban Garden Emerges on Bryant Park
Urban Garden Emerges on Bryant Park

September 18, 2009

WRT's New York office is delighted to announce the successful installation of our living sculptures in the Urban Garden Room at One Bryant Park in New York City. The four massive landscape sculptures, ranging from a 7' monolith to a 25' archway, bring living art to Midtown Manhattan. Commissioned by The Durst Organization, they were installed on September 12 and 13, 2009 at street level in the new 52-story, LEED Platinum certified Bank of America Tower. With its sculptures composed of thousands of ferns, mosses, lichens and vines, the Urban Garden Room takes the green revolution into the realm of art and expression. This new vision of green embraces civic enjoyment and public art as well as environmental enhancement. It is a restorative place and a gift to the street.
