David Brower Center

The program for this extraordinary mixed-used building includes a LEED Platinum-rated office space and a conference center for environmental non-profits, retail space, a restaurant, a gallery, 90 units of low-income family housing, and a city parking garage. The intention is to foster synergy among uses within the building and to create an architecture that gives powerful expression to the project's environmental strategies. The proposed Platinum LEED rating for the office space relies on innovative environmental technologies and architectural elements related to siting, daylighting, natural ventilation, photovoltaic power generation, and solar hot water.
