Fifth & Forbes Redevelopment Study
This mixed-use development study for Pittsburgh's Fifth Avenue District created a plan to revitalize a 28-acre area that had fallen into decline due to loss of retail. The plan envisions new construction and renovation of historic buildings, and calls for 742 RES units above 250,000 SF of restaurants and shops. Key elements in the redevelopment include streetscape improvement on Fifth Avenue, as well as a new concept for Market Square that unifies four small parks into a single focal point for events, outdoor dining, and use by residents.
