Lancaster County Growth Management Plan

Lancaster County is renowned for its rural landscapes, its rich Amish and Mennonite communities, and the historic character of Lancaster City. WRT's update of the county's Growth Management Plan focused on a strategy to revitalize core urban areas and improve development patterns in designated growth areas. It also included a strategy to sustain rural areas, including the viability of agricultural industry, and a "Smart Growth Toolbox" of regulatory, capital investment, and other methods to be used by municipalities and the county to implement the plan.
