Rittenhouse Square Mixed-Use Facility
WRT designed a 225,000-SF mixed-use facility located on an L-shaped site between Walnut, Sansom, and 20th Streets. The project includes a 625-car parking garage, a 52,000-SF movie theater, an 8,000-SF restaurant, and 6,500 SF of retail space. In order to minimize the perception of the garage on this prominent urban site, three levels of parking are located in the basement, with the restaurant and retail at the ground floor, and the main theater space atop of the upper five levels of parking. A procession of public spaces located on the Walnut Street facade conceal the garage behind and enable theater patrons to circulate to the top level using a series of escalators.
