San Francisco State University
This long-range master plan guides the growth and transformation this 130-acre urban campus in alignment with the institution's strategic vision to become a premier urban university. Increasing campus density and integrating 40 acres of newly acquired, contiguous parcels are among the main goals of the project, which will guide the institution's enrollment growth from 20,000 to 25,000 FTE students. Central to the plan is an open space strategy that reclaims the campus' central valley, restoring the ecology of the watershed, reconnecting the campus to the surrounding neighborhood, and providing a centerpiece for anticipated new development.
