Seaside Development Master Plan
The master plan for this leisure and resort destination encompasses 35 acres along the waterfront facing the famous Oruyk Islands in the city of Busan, Korea. The plan integrates buildings and landscape into a design concept that preserves unique coastal habitats while offering public access to the shoreline. The centerpiece of the design is a plaza, inspired by the form of a spiral seashell, that serves as the gathering place for an annual festival and a center for retail and restaurants. It is the main entrance for people arriving by car, transit, or ferry from the center of Busan. A glass-enclosed water park occupies a dramatic location at the edge of the sea.
