Shillim Institute and Resort

Shillim is a 2,500-acre, ecologically-oriented resort in the Western Ghats near Pune, India. The project combines the highest level of internationally-recognized architecture and landscape design with state of the art ecological and sustainable construction and management practices. The planning and design process integrated compelling architecture with sustainable practices such as rain water harvesting, alternative energy, and minimal disturbance to an ecologically-sensitive site that includes important wildlife habitat. Unifying the site's components is the Shillim Institute, a learning and conference center offering a wide range of programs for mind, body, and spirit.
