The Laurels - Assisted Living

WRT designed this 30-unit assisted living facility in historic Wellsboro. Located in the center of the town on a wide gas-lit boulevard, the design echoes the Victorian architecture of surrounding residences to create the feel of a small inn. The project includes 19 studio apartments, 11 one-bedroom units, a living room, a dining and activities area, and a series of informal lounges. A large porch expands the common areas and overlooks the village street. Living and dining areas are also oriented to take advantage of,and make the residents feel connected to,the activities of the village.
