University of California, San Diego (UCSD)

WRT's planning and landscape design projects with UCSD have helped to shape the campus as it has accommodated tremendous development over the past 15 years. Our work has helped the institution maintain a “big picture" vision for its campus, while realizing significant incremental change. We have planned four new residential colleges on campus, and our landscape designs range from those that discreetly and effectively knit together the experience of disparate buildings to others that make their own signature statements. A powerful and growing research-driven institution sited on fragile coastal lands amidst an affluent residential community, UCSD continues to rely on WRT's sustainable design and strategic approach to planning in fulfilling its quest for responsible and high-quality development.
