WRT's planning and design work has helped to reverse years of benign neglect and urban renewal, enabling this community to reconnect to its waterfront. The firm's waterfront and downtown master plan creates a framework for new development that is integrated with a dynamic open space strategy. The first implementation project, Unity Plaza, a signature public place designed by WRT, opens up views and creates an engaging passageway from downtown to the waterfront. An attractive place that attracts both residents and visitors, Unity Plaza along with a second implementation project along Georgia Street, are heralding a new life for this former port city.
