Virginia State Capitol Master Plan
This master plan envisions the improvement of areas in and around Capitol Square, with the aim of creating a pedestrian-friendly environment and increasing the tourism economy. The first phase of WRT's master plan addressed the historic capitol building designed by Thomas Jefferson, and the second phase included a long-range program and plan for the surrounding Capitol Square area. Four major work areas of the plan included space program and tenant needs analysis, site and building assessment for meeting needs, a long-range master plan, and short-term projects and costs.
