69th Street Terminal Renovations

Philadelphia PA

Originally constructed more than 75 years ago, the 69th Street Terminal serves 35,000 daily suburban light rail and bus commuters as a major multi-modal transportation transfer point. WRT was retained to analyze the condition and function of the existing facilities, reconfigure the commuter flow patterns to efficiently combine the various portions of the building built by four separate transportation companies, restore and renovate the Terminal, add bus terminals, landscape and reconfigure the site to improve efficiency, enhance the environment and reduce maintenance, and introduce a new graphic/signage system.
