Allegheny County Parks Comprehensive Master Plan

The Allegheny County Parks Comprehensive Master Plan guides the long-term management and development of more than 12,000 acres of county-owned regional parkland encircling the City of Pittsburgh, PA. Informed by extensive public input, WRT assisted County officials prepare an action agenda that guides decision-making and renews each of the nine parks to help them realize their full potential as major regional assets. Recommended actions for the park system as a whole and for each of its nine parks were developed, as well as recommendations for organizational and management changes, capital improvement projects with order-of-magnitude cost estimates, and long-term financing sources.
