Amtrak High Speed Rail Station Improvements

WRT is assisting Amtrak in the planning and design of a series of station improvements to accommodate the nation's first High Speed Rail Service. The improvements, in 15 existing stations and two new stations along the Northeast Corridor, will create a consistency between stations, reinforce the station focus in each of the buildings, and enhance passenger movement through the stations via improved travel information, lighting, wayfinding, and a High Speed Rail identity. Fourteen stations are included in the assignment: Washington, DC; New Carrollton; BWI; Wilmington; Philadelphia; Trenton, Metro Park, Newark, Stamford, New Haven; Providence; Boston Back Bay; and, Boston-South Station.
