WRT's neighborhood master plan for the Shore Park / Shore Terrace sites and the Atlantic Heights neighborhood in the midtown area of Atlantic City helped to secure a $35 million HOPE VI grant application which spurred an additional $157.3 million of private and public investment in the now resurgent resort community. The mixed-income plan for 600 units of for-sale and rental housing and community facilities on over 50 acres of vacant property began simultaneously on multiple sites controlled by the State's Casino Reinvestment Development Authority in 2002. WRT served as architect for one of the now seven phases of redevelopment taking advantage of the widespread employment growth over the past decade in Atlantic City—making this neighborhood transformation a model for the rest of the city.
