Cape May - Lewes Ferry Terminal Master Plan

The Delaware River & Bay Authority (DRBA) has owned and operated the Delaware Memorial Bridge and the Cape May-Lewes Ferry since 1964. The DRBA retained WRT as prime consultant to prepare a master plan for both the Cape May and Lewes ferry terminals. This plan included forecasts of potential ridership, operational and capital expenditures, the identification of steps needed to meet demand, measures needed to enhance the ferry rides as tourist attractions, and environmental and functional improvements. Subsequently, WRT prepared detailed designs for the Cape May Terminal landscape and public spaces to include entryways, auto and bus parking and staging areas, walkways, boardwalks, loading piers, and outdoor café terraces.
