The extraordinary mixed-use program for this project included a LEED Platinum office building and conference center for environmental non-profit agencies, 90 low-income family housing units, retail space, restaurant, gallery, and parking garage. The intention was to create synergy among the parts, and to create an architecture that gives powerful expression to the project's environmental strategies. The proposed Platinum LEED rating for the office space is based on environmental technologies and architectural elements related to siting, daylighting, natural ventilation, structure, photovoltaic power generation, and solar hot water.
