Eastshore State Park General Plan

Encompassing 2,300 acres of water and upland area, Eastshore State Park extends 8.5 miles from the Bay Bridge in Oakland to Marina Bay in Richmond, passing through the jurisdiction of five cities. The park is located in a densely urbanized area, with most of its upland area the product of municipal landfill practices over the past half century. The goal of the plan was to balance resource protection with local and statewide recreation needs, while creating a distinct and unifying image for this long strip of shoreline. WRT worked with local state and conservancy agencies in preparing the master plan and comprehensive environmental assessment for this new State Park along San Francisco Bay's eastern shoreline.
