Greenscapes, Lancaster County's first Green Infrastructure Plan, is a key component of Envision Lancaster County, winner of EPA's Overall Excellence in Smart Growth Award. WRT's work on Greenscapes integrates open space and natural resource planning with new directions to establish an interconnected green infrastructure system linking rural, suburban, and urban parts of the County. The plan establishes strategies and tools to maintain, restore, and enhance the critical environmental, social, and economic functions performed by green infrastructure as part of a sustainable communities strategy for Lancaster County's future.
