Guadalupe Corridor Light Rail
Santa Clara County's 21-mile light rail transit system is designed to link residential areas south of downtown San Jose with major employment concentrations to the north. WRT served as architect for the 27 stations in the system, designing all finishes and patron amenities above the sub slab. The firm also served as landscape architect for the Bassett Street Undercrossing, developed landscape design criteria for park-and-ride facilities, and designed six miles of median planting for the system. WRT developed special designs for three downtown San Jose stations located near the civic and convention centers; these stations express their special character and location by the uniqueness of their design and the level of richness of their materials.
