Hunting Park West

WRT worked closely with area stakeholders to develop a land use strategy that positions this 400-acre underutilized area into a sustainable mixed-use district. Grounded in market analysis and physical/environmental evaluations, the land use strategy repositions vacant buildings for reuse as entertainment and arts production facilities, creates incentives for adaptive reuse of industrial buildings for mixed-use development, and identifies select zones for light industrial use. Green streets are designed to provide safe and attractive multi-modal access that connects adjacent neighborhoods to area services and facilities while effectively managing stormwater. The plan identifies areas for strategic public and private investment that can become a catalyst for district wide revitalization.
