WRT's sustainably-focused revitalization plan includes 360 new and rehabilitated mixed-income townhomes, both on the former Mill Creek public housing site and within the neighborhood. Working closely with the housing authority and the City's Office of Watersheds and Street Department, the plan reinstates the street grid, emphasizing the connections to its surrounding blocks and incorporating innovative stormwater solutions. The green infrastructure includes porous paving alley parking, curbside rain gardens, and a 2.6-acre public park that serves both as a water retention area and an accessible public open space integrated into larger Mill Creek Neighborhood. Located at the edge of the Philadelphia's University City District, the transformation of the neighborhood has set the stage for the continued revitalization of the surrounding commercial corridor and neighborhoods.
