Stevens Institute is expanding its campus overlooking the Hudson River with plans that call for 300,000 GSF of new classroom, research, residential, and student life facilities to be completed by 2015. This growth will transform Stevens' underutilized cliffs and waterfront into a new linear park—reorienting the campus to the sweeping views of Manhattan and the Hudson River Valley. The plan utilizes land use planning principles which create operational efficiencies, conserving energy and resources in the long term, and addresses key parking and circulation issues with peripheral parking that will reduce cars in the core campus.
