Misa Hsinyi Chen
Misa is a registered landscape architect with extensive experience working on both urban design and landscape architecture projects for the public and private sector clients. She has been instrumental in leading the streetscapes, waterfronts, urban plazas and mixed-use/social housing projects that have demanded a creative approach, integrated solutions, and collaboration among varying disciplines. Using design as the tool, Misa's practice is focused on bringing beauty, engagement and environmental benefits to places people work, play and live. Her current projects include the redesign of Congress Square, a large-scale renovation of a major public open space and streetscape in the heart of the Portland, Maine Arts District; the transformation of Philadelphia Holocaust Memorial Plaza at the gateway of Benjamin Franklin Parkway; Stevens Institute of Technology Gateway Streetscape and Babbio Parking Garage Landscape in Hoboken, NJ; and the design and implementation of green infrastructure features in several City parks in Harrisburg, PA.
