We Stand in Solidarity with the Black Community

We stand in solidarity with the Black community and will leverage our position of privilege and influence to do more.

Our hearts are saddened to witness the tragic death of George Floyd, a Black man killed senselessly by a White Minneapolis police officer – an incident so common we’ve lost count of the hundreds of black and brown lives who have come before him. These acts of violence and racism are impossible to ignore.

At WRT, we consider it our profound responsibility to invoke change. Our work takes place in neighborhoods where systemic racism and injustice continue to pervade. Cities are divided; communities are subject to gross inequities; and citizens are not treated fairly.

This must change.

We stand in solidarity with the Black community and will leverage our position of privilege and influence to do more.

  • We will listen, speak up, and advocate with empathy and courage.
  • We will hire, partner, and practice with social and economic equity at our core.
  • We will help rebuild our cities towards a more equitable urban landscape not only out of professional responsibility, but also out of civic duty.
