WRT has announced that three WRT Choice Neighborhoods projects in Asbury Park, NJ; Newport News, VA; and Pittsburgh, PA have received U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grants.

Choice Neighborhood Grant

HUD’s Choice Neighborhoods Initiative supports locally driven strategies to address struggling neighborhoods with distressed public or assisted housing. Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grants help local leaders develop comprehensive neighborhood Transformation Plans that are actionable and sustainable.

WRT will be serving as the Planning Coordinator for Asbury Park and Newport News, and will be assisting the planning team in Pittsburgh.

"We are excited to play a role in the important work of neighborhood revitalization in these communities and look forward to genuine positive change," said Woo Kim, AICP, LEED AP, Senior Associate at WRT.

This year the Choice Neighborhood Planning grant was awarded to 10 cities across the country. To learn more about the grant and HUD visit hud.gov
