WRT is pleased to share that Richard King has been selected as our next Managing Principal. This transition builds upon Joe Healy's years of dedicated leadership and enduring impact as Managing Principal and marks an important milestone as WRT continues to evolve with purpose.

In this role, Richard will guide WRT with intention, advancing our interdisciplinary practice with a renewed focus on shaping meaningful work grounded in our values of environmental justice, equity, resilience, and lifelong learning.

Richard’s leadership is guided by a commitment to a collaborative practice approach. Since joining WRT in 2011, Richard has been instrumental in shaping WRT’s architectural practice, where he emphasizes designing for social connection, materiality, nature, and crafting uplifting places for people.

In addition to his role at WRT, Richard is an artist and educator. His art practice centers on exploring the interplay of shape, geometry, and light. He also teaches at Drexel University in the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, where he encourages students to approach architecture as an artistic pursuit grounded in social responsibility.
