Rohit Tak

Rohit is a rigorous and collaborative urban designer and mobility planning expert with ten years of work experience in the fields of urban design, planning and architecture. He has a keen interest in helping cities flourish utilizing his thorough understanding of inclusive and data-oriented approaches aimed toward sustainable outcomes in urban transformation. He has worked internationally in California, India and Southeast Asia on projects including community planning and engagement, complete streets, transit-oriented development and downtown revitalization. He has managed project budgets over $50 million and overseen 15-member international teams consisting of urban designers, mobility experts, researchers, World Bank technical experts and architects.

Between his previous and current tenures at WRT, he was a manager in the Sustainable Cities: Urban Transport Program at WRI India. There his work focused on the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety in India, Thailand, and Vietnam to making these cities walkable, bike-able, and safer by design. His other project work includes Broadway Complete Streets Plan in Sacramento, Blackstone Corridor Housing and Transportation Study in Fresno, San Pablo Avenue Complete Streets Project in Albany (CA), Willits Main Street Enhancement Plan, the Sabarmati Riverfront Development and the Tender SURE Street Design Project.
